Our Story

Braid Bar Ldn was established in 2015. Previously known as ‘Mimi’s Children’s Salon’. It was originally launched as a business to support parents with managing their children's hair, and subsequently, most of the clientele were children.

In 2016, as the demand for braided hairstyles increased dramatically, we made the decision to shift from being a child-only salon, to offering braids to all ages. At the time our founder was juggling working full time in Property Management, and was only able to offer braiding services in the evenings and on weekends. Following the birth of her youngest child in 2018, our founder made the leap to commit to running Braid Bar Ldn full time and left her 9-5 office job behind.

Fast Forward to 2021, we moved from working from home into our own studio located in Beckenham. In November 2022 we opened the doors to the salon we have now in Shorltlands, Bromley.

We now offer an array of services including braids, hair treatments, ponytails and many more. We hope to see you on our continued journey of growing Braid Bar Ldn into a well known hub for luxury braids and hair care services.
